Join Other Passionate Experts and Caregivers for 2 Days Of Learning
We’re hosting a conference to bring together people from all corners of the rare disease world—researchers, clinicians, regulators, and everyone in between—to chat about new research opportunities for the CURE GABA-A community.
Our goal is to map out the next steps for designing translational treatments for GABAAR treatments. We’re expecting a great mix of GABAAR caregivers, researchers, and others who are involved in rare diseases and are curious about the latest science and regulatory updates that could help with developing GABAAR therapies.
The incredibly talented Emma Zander has graciously offered her time and talent to perform at the Rare Research Reception on December 5th, 2024 following the first day of the conference.

Talks From Over 15 Industry Experts
The conference will explore various topics including the clinical presentation of GABAAR disorders, GABAAR composition, preclinical and off-label use of PBA for GABAAR variants, gene therapy for CNS disorders and more!
Panel Discussions & Breakout Sessions
The conference breakout sessions will cover various topics, including the clinical visit experience for newly diagnosed patients, newly diagnosed families will have sessions on managing grief and onboarding. The Epilepsy Action Network will provide insights on advocacy and policy.
Food & Beverage
Breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks are included in the conference fee, along with admission to the speaker sessions and the scientific cocktail party.
Family Meeting
CURE GABA-A scientists, researchers, and clinicians will present their findings on GABAAR-related topics to the patient community.
